I’ve been a passionate blogger & photographer for almost a decade, and I’ve owned various travel websites throughout my journey. You can read a lot of my work on Talesfromthelens.com, where I write about international destinations like South America, Iceland, France and Morocco.
With Travel Ireland Today, I wanted to focus on my favourite destination: Ireland, a country I now proudly call home. I’m super excited to share all my knowledge about Ireland and all the incredible places you can explore around this stunning island.
HOW DID I END UP IN IRELAND?
After a few years of traveling through Australia and New Zealand, my plan was to pursue a Work Holiday Visa in Canada. However, in 2013, the processing time for French citizens was much longer than anticipated, leaving me with a significant waiting period, so I decided to spend the summer backpacking around Ireland.
During this trip, I cycled and camped around Connemara, hiked to the Cliffs of Moher, hitchhiked around the Dingle Peninsula and ultimately fell in love with the Irish culture and landscapes. While the Canadian embassy informed me that the WHV would take another 6 months before opening, I took a one-way flight back to Ireland and looked for a job.
Fast forward 10 years… I stayed in Ireland and I still haven’t made it to Canada. However, in 2017, I did take a long break to go backpackng around South and Central America before finding myself drawn back to the vibrant city of Dublin with a full-time job in Supply Chain.
Life has a way of surprising us with unexpected detours, and my path led me to Ireland—a place that has become my home, a source of inspiration, and the foundation for my passion for sharing the beauty of this remarkable country with others.

With a strong passion for travel, I’ve ventured across more than 60 countries, setting foot on all continents and exploring diverse cultures and landscapes along the way. Through my own travel experiences, I’ve honed my skills in solo, couple, and family travel, mastering the art of crafting efficient itineraries, keeping costs in check, and infusing every adventure with just the right amount of excitement!
When it comes to Ireland, I’ve explored its every nook and cranny, from the awe-inspiring coastlines of the Atlantic Way to the buzzing cities of Dublin, Cork, and Belfast.
